Observational drawings

 

The project for this yellow week was the studying of the shapes of fruits and vegtables. We had taken part of a series of drawings before experimenting with wire to create fruit and veg shapes.

We had then looked at the creation of abstract drawings by projecting these wire shapes onto paper to lose the normal thinking of fruit and veg.

To commence with my 'Pick and Mix' project - I had been given a reference to study, of which was the modern artist Susan Hiller. I had enjoyed researching this artist, as I had had the chance to discover new modern artists/ conceptual artists, and the form of 'Installation'.

I had then been given an object to work with around my reference. The object was string.

Yellow Week - Hybrid Project

Yellow Week.

This week was an aim to work with new people, as well as produce brilliant hybrid sculptors within three days to add to my portfolio. We were joined up in groups up to six mixed up with our own year and second year.

3D Natural Sea Forms Project

To commence with my new project in the subject area of 3D, I had looked at different artistic sea forms for inspiration for my own sea form - of which I had created in a series of different media each week. I had used my drawing lessons to think about the manipulation of shapes and structures. Before I had fully created the design of each of my natural forms, I had made sample pieces, experimenting with the media that I was about to use fully for each section of the project.

Visual Communication Target Audience Project

To commence with my 'Target Audience' project, I had recieved my target audience, of which contained a list of interests and likes of which was my challenge to fulfill within the design of this Nike Mens Trainer.

I had tried my best to ensure that I involved what appeared appealing to my target audience. To continue design my project fully , I had used the adobe software - Illustrator.

Induction Exhibition

The event of my college exhibition went successfully, all induction task projects were showcased and seen by close friends and family, the top image showcases all constatina sketchbooks including mine - of which you can see in my previous blog, the bottom one showcases 3D works and fine art which were made and completed in groups on the BTEC course 

Handmade induction sketchbook

The induction task given for my first days of being an art and design student - consisted of highlighting my 'past', 'present',  and 'future' memories, moments , and dreams throughout a handmade sketchbook. the book includes mixed media resources such as: textiles, 3D cut-outs, and visual communication skills.
